The Class of 2028 is invited to a Run/Walk with UVA President Jim Ryan! Lace-up your sneakers on Saturday morning, August 24, for a two-mile/30-minute fun run/walk/stroll around the UVA Grounds followed by a Contemplative Sciences Center-led stretch and snacks on the lower Lawn.
Please dress for hot weather and bring water to stay hydrated along the route. Refill stations will be available at the finish line. Students must bring their IDs for check-in.
Pick up your commemorative T-shirt and check-in beginning at 7:30 a.m. at O-Hill Field on Alderman Road (across from the AFC). We’ll step off around 8 a.m. and end near the Homer Statue. All abilities and energies are welcome to participate! Feel free to run, jog, walk, stroll, dance, or choose your own method of locomotion on this barrier-free 2-mile introduction to Grounds.
All attendees will receive a "Run With Jim" T-shirt while supplies last.
