The Compassionate Sciences Center is co-sponsoring Sharon Salzberg's talk at the Virginia Festival of the Book entitled, "Real Love: The Art of Mindful Connection," on Wednesday, March 21.
Susan Bauer-Wu, President of the Mind & Life Institute, will moderate the evening.
Location: Unity of Charlottesville
The talk is free and open to the public. No tickets are needed. Learn more at the Festival of the Book event page.
In her book Real Love: The Art of Mindful Connection, Salzberg shines a light on the powerful healing force of true connection, revealing how to undo the limited definitions that reduce love to simply romance or passion and how to give the heart a much needed tune-up—work that helps us connect ourselves to the truest experience of love in our daily lives.
This talk is presented by the Virginia Festival of the Book with co-sponsorship by CSC, Insight Meditation Community of Charlottesville, and the UVA School of Nursing's Compassionate Care Initiative.
CSC is also co-sponsoring a talk by Salzberg at UVA on March 20 with support from the Mind & Life Institute entitled, "Personal Reflections on the Recent History of Meditation in America." VIDEO
